Fashion Week Jan 2012

Alixis Maybille chose to over-style the collection. The painted faces and headgear overshadowed some beautiful gowns (and distracted from some less than beautiful ones too!). I enjoyed the theatre though.

Armani Privee was very wearable and beautiful.

OH la la! Dior - tres chic!

Held on a plane with the aisle being the runway for Chanel. I thought a very beautiful show!

La la!

Ellie Saab's collection was very feminine and pretty pastels. We loved! Everyone seemed to still be sticking to the 50's style silhouette.

Beautiful!

Giambattista Valli's collection always catches my attention.

Jean Paul Gautier styled his collection in tribute to the late, great singer, Amy Winehouse. I liked it as a piece of theatre and that is what couture and Paris is all about to me.

Sing with the angels!

Maurizio Gallante's collection had drama. It didn't seem wearble, although I reckon that makes it desirable for characters like Lady GaGa

I LOVED Stephane Rolland's collection, colourful, elegant, sophisticated. I just wish I had somewhere that  I could wear any of them too!

And with a splash of colour!

Valentino chose flower prints. I can see parts translating to the hight street, but overall, it did not feel as fresh as other collections.

To me, Versace is a very Barbarella inspired collection. Diet and exercise ladies!
