A SHAME!

Amy Winehouse was an exceptional talent. I feel so sad to hear that she was found dead today from an alcohol and drugs binge. She started out so beautiful and her voice was one of the rarest, most moving, most touching voices of her generation. Her life was tormented, but somehow, I thought she would be like Keith Richards, famous for her benders and addictions, but a survivor. I hope that she is resting in peace. I love her music and am thankful for the gift she was blessed with and left us with.

Out and about early November - not so great.

The Kardashians. They live in their own world and must tell each other what great sense of style and class they have. They make such an effort and miss more than hit it for me. I think if they relaxed it a little they would look so much better. I do think they are beautiful ladies and Khloe looks nice in the group shot, after that.. I can't. Real fur is ugly too..

Britney Spears, back to the front not good. But she seems healthy and that is a plus. If she fixed her hair it would distract from the clothes or visa versa.

Katie Price is trying to look sophisticated in the first look. And she hits her faves with her second look. Elen Rives (the ex wife of England footballer Frank Lampard) in wag uniform. I am sure that it is very expensive, but it looks cheap, cheap, cheap. She does have lovely legs.

Loretta Devine. I cannot! I just can't. Kelly Rowland. I cannot.

Michelle Trachtenberg chose a bunch of clothes that just don't go. They might work in different combinations but they don't in this one. I can't work out if Diana Vickers is for real or if she is doing Amy Winehouse tribute. I like the bottom half of Edith Bowman's outfit, but the nightie/blouse/dress is not great.  Why VV Brown? Why?

I can't get past the fried hair with Mark Ronson.  Jack Tweed's jeggings and footwear is killing me softly.

Simon Cowell. Verdine White. I CAN NOT. Sir Ben Kingsley has a suit that shouts out that he re-married a younger woman. Is this late mid life crisis?

Amber le Bon has tried some eighties crimping on her hair. I don't think it works well.  Padma Lakshmi is still trying too hard and it misses. Vera Wang makes some amazing dresses, I don't understand why she doesn't wear them. I am disappointed with some of Julianne More's recent choices. Perhaps she has changed stylist recently?
Props to Carmen Electra for trying to be classy - not quite achieved but merit goes to effort. Kimberly Walsh. No words. Twiggy is a legend, but I think this is not really a red carpet look. I kind of looks like 'New Look' and I think she is too fab for that.

Hiedi Klum's casual wardrobe is needs help. *Yawns* Taylor Momsen and Agyness Deyn and their self conscious alternative/anti-fashion style.

Angel Griffin is a good actress. It looks like pink is one of her favourite colours and flammable looking fabrics certainly catch her eye. I can't imagine these garments having 'hanger appeal' but.. I can't. I do however like the bow detail shoes too. Cerys Matthews owns these garments and also chose to wear them. I don't understand any of it.

I hate real fur. It is cruel and unnecessary and usually ugly looking, demonstrated by Rihanna. The Olsen twins chose fur to compliment their not great garment choices.

Don't do it..

The images speak for themselves. Keep it natural folks. Keep it Natural.

Hands Up.. Who saw this coming?

I know, a day late and a dollar short. But she looks cleaner than her usual, so I'll salute her for that. And I think her natural redhead would have gone better with the orange prison scrubs.

We are all Human. But this???

Geena Davis used to be a stunning woman. It looks like she has tried to fight the ageing process and has ended up fighting her hotness. A different kind of beauty comes with age, we need to embrace it.

Gabourey Sidibe is dangerously obese. There is no excuse for this (slow metabolism, glands etc). She needs help and love to deal with this. This is so wrong. I say that from a kind place.

Naomi Campbell has some hairline issues. It must be traumatising for a woman to have to deal with alopecia, but I honestly think that the constant weaves are not helping her. Her face is fierce enough to carry a shaved head – my opinion. Hate the fact she is still wearing/modelling fur.

Obligation!

I have to say something about the world cup here.

It was so sad that Nelson Mandela couldn't participate in the opening ceremony due to the death of his great grand daughter. Just sad.
On a happier note. Ghana beat Serbia 0-1. to be the first African country to win a game in a world cup on African soil. They are not one of the favourites, but we all love the underdogs!

The Sads

Gary Coleman 1968-2010. He died a few days ago but his 'whachu talkin bout' still lives on. Rest in peace.

Work has been done...

I am Scared!
Do you think Calvin Klien thinks he looks natural and younger? Does he? Better not fight nature.. I can't look for too long. This gaze scares me.

Yes, Liz Hurley is holding up well for 45, but she's looking a little worked, not least the lips (they have the rigid quality)! Lip filler, don't deny it. It is not looking good Ms Hurley. Not good!

Kim Kardashian is looking waaay too plastic/transgender for me. I think she has done something to her mouth area (maybe more). It is not good look and if it can be reversed, I would recommend that she does it!

I hope she stops. Clearly Megan Fox is very pretty, I just hope she stops at this lip size. And I get the feeling that Lindsay Lohan will look soo much better with some clean living (regular sleep and washes). No amount of makeup, hairdye, fake tan or lip filler will make her look better.

I am bothered when the young pretty ones start tweaking and twerking. Clutching my pearls. Indeed!
