On the Fence - November 2010 far

  

There is something I really like about Katie Perry and Russell Brand, I think I secretly like their 'wacky' style. I think. Olivier Martinez is wearing Cuban heels. I am not sure what I feel about this. Brett Michaels almost looks like a hot rocker. His weave distracts me.

  

I like Winona Ryder's dress but the shoes bother me for some reason. Still a pretty look. I do like Dakota Fanning, but this dress looks like it is weighted and fighting gravity on her.  And I like the dress Kate Hudson is wearing, I am just not a fan of the zip detail (on anything, much less a classy evening dress).

Amber Riley looks good and I do love curves, but she could use a healthy diet and some exercise. And  I like this look for Jennifer Lopez. The hair extensions are still present but she has calmed down. I am on the fence but leaning towards liking this look.

I like these looks for Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. I think.

I can't work out if I hate it or not. Billy Ray Cyrus has a new mullet, it makes me reminisce of George Michaels during his 'Faith' era. I am so on the fence - controversial I know!

The beautiful Queen Raina of Jordan is a style Icon. I am not excited about this dress and her face is looking like she is botoxing a little too much. This is a shame she doesn't need to. I am unsure about this dress on Gwyneth. It's kind of hoochie, but she is conservative and the mix doesn't work too well for me.  I am curious about the Spanx dresses. They seem to be flattering but there is something 'nearly' about them for me. I think Carol Vorderman wears them well though.

Luv Beverly Knight. Just not sure about the dress. Again.  Not the worse look for Rachel Zoe. I don't like uber platforms.  Anna Wintour looks the same as ever. She looks well groomed and is probably wearing next season's looks, but it feels stale to me.  Carey Mulligan – do you think she deserves the years best dressed? I'm not too sure.

Soul Train Awards 2010

I love Eryka Badu, but not the outfit. And Janelle Monae must have only a very few outfits and only black in her wardrobe - fashion efficient! They are both very beautiful though.

Blasts from the past: Anita Baker looking the same as ever, perhaps a few pounds extra, then there is . Freddy Jackson is the opposite. His weight loss and choice of outfit has me mesmerised somewhat.  This is what my sister would call a 'coming to America' suit (OK, it's what I would call it). Genuwine oh dear!

 

SWV are also carrying a few extra pounds – which I know is normal with the passing of time. I am sincerely puzzled as to if there is a pregnant member.  Faith Evans does not look good. Why would someone have this many colours going on with the hair. Then the make up does not go with anything and the dress is very creased. The whole look is unkempt.

Out and about early November - On the fence

I don't understand this dress Beverly Knight. It is almost... so many things and not quite at the same time either.  I do love Janet Jackson, but not her clothing choices. She is uber petite and not many of her clothes seem to fit her well. The trousers look badly hemmed and the jacket too small and the next outfit kills me softly.

  

Dakota Fanning is drowning in this dress. Olivia Wilde looks a little frightening. Carey Mulligan was named the best dressed in Harpers magazine. I disagree, but then again Alexa Chung was also on that list so it has a totally different style perspective to me.

Olsen twin not looking awful, I love waist down with this look. I might need those shoes in my life.Kerry Washington and Sophie Ellis Bextor show why satin is unforgiving. It creases and can look unkempt.

One of these ladies is a lesbian and the other dresses like one. Love Portia de Rossi's sense of style. Whoopie Goldberg is very talented. Jessica White is beautiful but somehow often manages to look *whispers* cheap.

But I can't with these shorts that Beyonce is wearing. I like the idea, but the execution is off. Yes, she has a small waist, but these shorts should be at least a size bigger. At least, but better a choice left on the hanger. Husband Jay Z did better with his ensemble. The day before was a better choice Bey and I guess Jay went for comfort instead of style with his shorts. They are on holiday.

 

Has the speculation stopped yet?

Do you feel bad if you said she's just fat? However, there is no excuse for the style choices. Lycra until death (then I think she will be buried in it too) nd the hair and leather coat..  I still can't. It can be done stylishly!

I am confused.

Stunning Iman was honoured for being a fashion icon. Here she is in a very unflattering dress. Aside from the dress being, well - not nice, it makes her chunky rather than curvy. A pity. Husband, David Bowie's suit flatters.

Of course Sarah Jessica Parker was there (in McQueen). Fabiola Beracasa looked 'fashion challenged' in this mess of a dress. Donna Karan looked better than usual in one of her designs.

Also there to celebrate were Rachel Roy in another less than flattering silver, frou frou number and shoes that look like they squeeze her feet. And a stunning Liya Kibede. The dress is devine, but the shoes look a little too 'surgical corrective'.  The ladies fashion choices confused and disappointed me. Anna Wintour looked her usual classic self, as did Rachel Weisz.

Why do designers dissapoint me? Vera Wang looks far too thin for me to even consider what she is wearing. And Zac Posen is not putting his best foot forward. Meanwhile, Jimmy Choo founder, Tamara Mellon always seems to look the wrong side of slutty for me.

I don't get why these ladies are style icons. Really I don't. I rarely like what Alexa Chung is wearing, this occaison is not different. Shapeless and unattractive to me. Meanwhile, Rachel Zoe does not seem to be able to dress herself with the same impact as her clients. I don't like this. The Olsen twins actually look good here. And Gweneth Paltrow does not offend or excite me, So I'll end on a positive.

Brooke Sheilds, OK. Jessica Biel, good, Zachary Pinto, weird. Lara Stone, dude where's my eyebrows.

Smith Family

At Jaden's film premier - Karate Kid 1000. Too tangy for my tastes. I don't even know where to begin with Willow. Really, lost for words with this family.

On the move..

Also on the move is pregnant Alicia keys. Pregnancy is not an excuse make these clothing choices. The boots and leggings are killing me softly. Killing me.. And Victoria Beckham's dress could be nice, but her sharp boned, uber skinny frame is too distracting for me to tell.
